London Tart Pie Shell

Ingredients

1 egg

3 cups flour

3/4 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cups cold vegetable shortening

1 tbsp. vinegar

5 tbsps. very cold water

Directions

Add the flour and salt into a bowl and combine well.

Cut the cold vegetable shortening or lard with the use of a sharp knife to a similar size of peas.

Whisk the egg with vinegar and water in a bowl.

Stir in the egg mixture with the flour mix.

Form a ball.

Leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Roll out the ball and use for a pie crust.

Enjoy.
